Young Adult Ministries
St. Nicholas Young Adult Ministries strive to lead our college and post-college parishioners closer to Christ and each other.
Orthodox Christian Fellowship - College Students
The official collegiate campus ministry program under the
Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States of America.
Our Mission
The OCF transforms the lives of college students by guiding them along the path to Jesus Christ through His Church, cultivating a campus community of worship, witness, service, fellowship, and education.

As the closest Orthodox parish to Washington University in St. Louis, St. Nicholas hosts the WashU chapter of the OCF and works to build connections between the WashU students and those at St. Louis University, University of Missouri – St. Louis and other campuses in the area. The chapter has held on-campus meetings and off-campus social gatherings and service projects. And college students are always our guests at St. Nicholas events where food is offered.

Our local chapter also connects students with national OCF activities like the annual College Conference during the Winter break, and the Real Break domestic and international service projects in the spring and summer.

Young Adults - Post-College
The post-college years are both exciting and exhausting. New jobs, budding careers and navigating the opportunities and demands of the adult life can be challenging, but they also provide a great deal of experience that young adults can use to reflect on their lives, their priorities, their hopes and their fears. Our Young Adults ministry has recently been revived as a way for our parishioners to engage in a community that takes the Christian faith seriously and strives to be guided by it.
These efforts include:
-
Monthly Zoom discussions on topics of faith (the second Tuesday of each month)
-
In-person gatherings that are geared toward building fellowship
-
Opportunities to worship together and meet for serious discussion
-
All young adults are welcome!
